In our ongoing effort to realize the US Youth Soccer vision that soccer is "The Game for All Kids" South Texas Youth Soccer offers several unique programs to assist our membership in the development of soccer players and new soccer programs within the community or to expand the reach of our current programs.
Soccer Start is designed to introduce children who are at-risk, live in ecomically depressed areas or areas not currently serviced by a STYSA member club or Assocation to soccer by building "grass root" programs that meet the need of the community or children involved.
TopSoccer is designed to give young athletes with special needs or disabilities an opportunity to develop physical fitness, technical skills, courage and self-esteem through the joy and excitement of playing soccer.
The Recreational Academy program is a club organized program that uses a defined curriculum and qualified staff to teach individual skills to Division IV Under 10 and/or Under 9 recreational youth players in a team training format within an age appropriate learning environment.
The Lending Library provides coaches with an extensive resource of coaching materials including books, videos and CDs on the history of the game to coaching techniques and drills simply by checking them out from the State Office.
